McNamara Twin Block

The Frankel is still one of the most commonly used appliances for Class III.

Some clinicians use the Reverse Pull Facemask with an expander as well.

Specialty Appliances™ has made the Twin Block appliance since Dr. William Clark introduced it in the 1980s. We manufacture all designs of the Twin Block including the McNamara version.

The Bionator to open the bite is the most common Bionator used today. Class II treatment and retention after the Herbst appliance are also typical uses for the Bionator.

The NORD unilateral expander works well to treat a unilateral cross bite. A ramp is placed in the lower quadrant in proper occlusion to the lower arch giving maximum anchorage to expand the cross bite.

Specialty Appliances™ makes a fixed type of Class II support appliance called a Rickanator. The Rickanator is fixed to molar bands and has an acrylic ramp behind the lower incisors to support the Class I position.

Specialty Appliances™ makes a removable appliance to support Class II treatment called a Phase II support appliance, which was developed by Dr. William Clarke.

This appliance is much like a Rickanator, but is removable. The appliance is anchored to the teeth with Adams clasps and a labial bow.

We make the Damon™ stabilization splint with either vacuum-formed Essix® material or the dual-laminate type.

Both appliances will have the mandible slightly advanced to hold the corrected Class I position.

We manufacture all types and designs, including the multidimensional 3-Way Expander made with one expansion screw.

We make all lower Schwarz appliances with occlusal coverage. The upper Schwarz can have occlusal coverage on request.

We'll place two screws in the upper arch if the arch is large enough to accommodate two screws.
